Du Stylo dedicates itself to producing Biblical Poetry. We start with interesting vignettes and figures in the Bible, especially the figures and vignettes that are more obscure and less well-known. From there, we research more background information and weave a comprehensive, new narrative in verse. Thus, we have Biblical poetry sonnets around these figures and vignettes. These figures and vignettes span throughout the Bible: in a manner of speaking, from Abel to Zacharias in the Old Testament; from Zacharias to the end of the Ages in the New Testament.
Du Stylo endeavors toward creating works that will withstand the ages. Accordingly, we aim to restore traditional poetry to a high place in literature. By this, we aim to re-popularize more structured, traditional forms. Paramount among these forms is the sonnet: this is our staple poetry. Please feel free to read more about our aims in the About Us – Poems Section.
Aspirations in Biblical Poetry
As a greater goal, Du Stylo endeavors to make its mark on the greater world around itself by impacting the literary culture indelibly. We desire to have our poetry widely circulated, that it may make life for the reader even marginally more happy. Accordingly, we will publicize new releases on our social media channels (see Du Stylo‘s Pintrest and the author’s LinkedIn Pages). As such, our hope remains that we create a monument for humanity.
Thus, we desire for the reader to return as often as he can. New poetry is released every Friday, so please return when new work is published here. As a housekeeping matter, we publish serialized sonnets and publish them in a scattered way. This allows more variety for the reader’s pleasure
Finally, we hope that you, the reader return for more poetry and like what you see. Please feel free to peruse the website at your leisure. Thanks!
